b
The ultimate delay pedal.
bubba 29.09.2014
UPDATE: the unit stopped working without external damage right after warranty period had ended. I would expect a unit at this price point to last longer.

PRE/POST routing option that comes with software update is great additional feature.

There are huge number of reviews on this pedal and based on them i bought it. So instead of writing general review, I will point out only some things.

Compared to older issues this one has more solid knobs.

I highly advice to use this pedal together with an AUX switch, especially, If you use it onstage. AUX switch makes it possible to jump back and forth between the banks fast. You can tap tempo and use hold function without change of switching mode.

The hold mode on this pedal is perfect. When using ambient delay sounds, you can capture a sound, that does not sound captured at all, and play over the top of it.

The switchable Line or instrument output/input and combination of wet/dry and delay mix knobs make this pedal perfect for any use. Put in pedal line, put in amp FX loop (does not matter if serial or parallel), put it your rack - no problem.

The possibility to set both delays to 0 ms and possibility to set wet level to 100% allows to use this pedal also as Sample rate pedal, AB box and modulation pedal.

All other features and sounds are amazing and totally worth the price. The possibilities take years to explore. However, it is not hard to dial in a sound, if you know what you want.

One minor negative thing. When you are in bank switching mode, it takes a short moment to switch from one preset to other. Less than a second, but enough to notice, that it is not instant. But it is easy to get used to.

DS
Great Delay Pedal

Very happy with the purchase. Much prefer this over the Strymon that I still have and sounds quite clinical to our ears. The Eventide just has a great vibe about it..

Eventide Timefactor - Forget the others
Stewart Q. 16.05.2013
This is it!!! The holy grail of delay pedals. The lushest truest sounding stompbox of its kind. The mod and vintage delays are worth the money alone. It is a lot of money to spend on one effect but if you want those rich U2/Pink Floyd style delays this is the only product you should be looking at.
