A
Half the reverb
Anonymous 06.03.2017
Hi!
One day i knew i had to get a reverb pedal, but what do I buy with limited budget. I decided to look for few options and found shimverb and TC hall of fame mini. I decided to buy this pedal at the end due to it being 10 euros cheaper (what a bad decision i made). Seriously I could have easily spent 10 euros more and would have gotten such a better reverb pedal :(.

I mean this pedal is okay, but i do not like the shimmer because it is awful, basically, you can only properly use it either on one single chord until it rings or single note. If you play with faster changes etc, it will turn into one weird blur of sounds. Spring and Room reverbs sound ok to me. I am a more spring reverb guy. If you spend just like 2 min, you can find the right spot for the sound you want to have.

All in all for the price it's not the worst buy, but if I could go back in time, I would go for TC hall of fame mini.

It's a pretty okay pedal. The reverb is a little thin, the shimmer is a little one-sided. The other reverbs are dull sounding to me. The form factor and the build quality is great though, but I wouldn't by this pedal again. For the price there's nothing too much to ask for.

ShimVerb

Mooer ShimVerb is a very unique pedal. It is very small, but has many features.
So, i have this little thing in my board over a year, and some of things I have found out are:
+: It is very usable in many different pats. For instance, i like to use it to make my tone wider. I crank up decay to 3/4 and switch to shimmer, but I leave volume low, not to lose my guitar tone so much, and then it gives me the kind of background, like pianos and electro. It is very usable to get "space" kind of sounds. The reverb on this pedal is common, I use it rare, because shimmer mode for me is better in playing.
-: The most anyoing thing is the switch. When I play my guitar and tur it on, it is like the sound makes a click. There is a gap.
When volume is cranked up like 2/3 the sound of guitar fades and makes a feeling, that you have a very big signal loss in this pedal (shimmer)
And the shimmer adds only 5th position. This could be awesome and bad at the same time. I find it useful.

I love it... all the controls work perfectly and works great as a reverb with my reverbless amp. i absolutely love the size of this thing... i cant wait to get some more cash together and by another 4 mooer mini pedals and the firefly case.
EDIT..... is quite ¨hissy¨at louder volumes
